Debra Jedeikin is a Licensed Marriage, Family and Child Therapist with 15 years experience. She is also an Early Childhood and Parenting Consultant. Debra is particularly interested in healing relationships within families through offering an understanding of each individual's perspective. In this context compassionate communication is able to develop. She works from a psychodynamic perspective.
Debra worked extensively in the gay and lesbian community in Zimbabwe Africa for 9 years. She helped several individuals through their coming out process and worked with many couples who were becoming families through adoption and donor insemination. She also treated gay and lesbian couples in conflict. On a personal note, Debra was a member of a group of new mothers, 4 out of 9 who were lesbian moms. They met weekly to have their babies play with one another and to share parenting ideas, support and good food!
